Sophie joined GEM as a graduate programmer in February 2021, bringing a natural enthusiasm for programming, and a strong expertise in both R and Python.
Since then, Sophie has further developed her impressive skillset, adding CDISC and SAS® knowledge to her CV. Sophie’s input has been pivotal in the implementation of R, providing the team with both technical support and formal training.
Sophie volunteered her own time to contribute to the {admiral} package, a collaborative effort providing an open source, modularized toolbox to enable the pharmaceutical programming community to produce ADaM datasets in R. Sophie was recently invited to join the Core Development Team and will contribute her skills to enhance the {admiral} package further.
In recognition of her significant impact in this area, I’m delighted to announce that Sophie will formally lead the implementation of R within GEM. Sophie has also joined the GEM Leadership Team and will shape our future strategy for open-source code.
